Ideally suited to students from pre-primary to year 4
The aims of these workshops are:
The closing date for entries into the MYOSB competition is usually the beginning of June, therefore sessions would run for terms one and two only.
All children would be expected to come to each session equipped with writing implements and a folder to put written notes and handouts in. Non-fluent readers/writers will also require a parent or substitute to act as a scribe.
There will be some time available during the sessions for children to work on their story books, but a substantial amount of the work involved will need to be completed at home between sessions. All materials for the actual production of the final book will need to be provided by parents.
